Massey Engineering Relocates to North Main Street District

Massey Engineering announced plans to relocate its main office from Lady Street to the NOMA district in downtown Columbia, reinforcing the firm’s long-term investment in the city and its continued growth.

The former mechanical garage located at 2500 Main Street will be converted into a modern engineering workspace for Massey designed to accommodate Massey’s expanding team and better reflect the company’s vision. The move underscores Massey’s commitment to adaptive reuse and innovative, solutions-driven approaches within the industry.

The relocation announcement follows Massey’s recent introduction of several new open career opportunities, highlighting the firm’s ongoing growth and investment in new talent in Columbia.

In addition to the office relocation, the firm plans to advance approximately 18,000 square feet of future retail development on the property, further supporting the revitalization of Columbia and the NOMA district. The new retail spaces will feature a large communal outdoor area, modern industrial aesthetic, with a warm brick exterior and exposed steel beam and timber structure. Branded as ‘NOMA Crossings at Cottontown’, the renovated space will blend the building’s industrial character with updated office space designed for collaboration and company growth.

“Reimagining this garage into our new office reflects how we approach engineering – practical, creative, and community-focused,” said Dallas Massey, Principal at Massey Engineering. “This project represents more than a new office to us. We see this as an investment in our own growth but also our client's growth, and the future of Columbia.

This relocation bolsters the firm’s long-term commitment to the area and its confidence in the district’s growth.
