Solina Golf Club is a membership golf facility and hospitality destination in West Columbia, South Carolina, operated under LTC Hospitality Group. The club offers a well-maintained course, a pro shop, and on-site dining through Gregory's Restaurant which provides members and guests with a full-service golf and leisure experience. As the facility has grown, the property has undergone meaningful structural and site improvements to support its continued operations and member amenities.

Scope of Work

  • Replacement of existing failing culverts with 12’x75’ bridge to cross Hunts Pond and access other half of golf course

  • 6000 sqft maintenance building.

  • 1800 sqft deck for restaurant, and incidental ADA ramps.

  • Foundation certification of existing foundation slab for the replacement of delipidated Pro Shop.

  • Vaulted ceiling design in new Pro Shop

  • Incidental repair documents for damages uncovered during construction (e.g. truss)

Key Challenges

  • The drainage area for Hunts Pond and the bridge is 37 sq miles. The floodplain which this causeway spans across is approximately 400’ wide. Balancing bridge length with having enough freeboard beneath the bridge for common storm events and a causeway designed to be overtopped during extreme storm events.

  • Facilitating construction with materials selections due to accessibility constraints.

  • Incorporating and staging the main irrigation line to the entire golf course.
